Cadets Announce Soloists 2008

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the recent solo/small ensemble auditions for this year's marching band field show "Freedom!"

Invitations to *selected students were sent out in late June, and the auditions were recently completed. All students who participated performed extremely well, and all of you should feel good about your participation. Based on the music being performed, emphasis was placed on tone production, phrasing, and style.

The audition results are as follows:

Opening Chorale (5 performers)

E. Rasmussen - Trumpet
B. Smith - Horn
L. Wade - Trombone
J. Spence - Trombone

Mvt. II Solo Work
E. Duffy - Horn
B. Fox - Flute

*There were no auditions held for the flute solo in Mvt. II. It was pre-determined that the flute solo would be performed by Drum Major/Flutist B. Fox.
