Cadets Kick Off Scissors Lift Donation Campaign! (Article Update June 16)

As of Monday June 16, we have received 82 checks totalling $4130. If you have not already done so, please consider donating to this worthy project. Reaching our goal of $6000 - $9000 is very possible if we can get another 40 (or more) donation checks! Thanks!!

What:
Cadets of Waukesha West Donation Campaign to Raise Funds to Purchase a Scissors Lift

When:
Now through the week of June 9 (late donations gladly accepted...)

Why:
The Cadets of Waukesha West has rented a scissors lift each marching band season for the past several years. This machine has become an invaluable tool that we use during our marching band rehearsals. The high vantage point provided by the lift during rehearsals has significantly increased our productivity and visual achievement throughout the performance season.

Renting a scissors lift is expensive - anywhere from $900 to $1300 per season. After pricing used lifts, we anticipate being able to purchase a used lift within the price range of $6,000 - $9,000.

We are asking all of our current and former marching band families to consider donating to our campaign to raise funds for the purchase of a used scissors lift for the marching band. Our hope is to generate a significant number of family donations of $35 or more in an effort to raise at least *$6,000. We hope that everyone associated with the Cadets of Waukesha West will consider donating to this cause. It would be a tremendous advantage for the Cadets to own a scissors lift, and not have to continue renting one each year.

*Note: All funds collected in this donation campaign will either be used to purchase a used lift, or to continue renting if we do not raise enough funds to purchase.
