Fox River Invitational: Another Great Success!
September 30, 2007

The Waukesha West Band Boosters hosted the 11th annual Fox River Marching Band Invitational on Sunday September 30. Thanks to the combined efforts of organizers, volunteers, performers, and directors, another great day of music and marching took place at Waukesha West High School.

Ten Bands wowed today's sell-out crowd: Cudahy, Fort Atkinson, New Berlin Eisenhower, Greendale, South Milwaukee, Sussex Hamilton, Waukesha South, Waukesha North, Waukesha West, and the spirited Blugold Marching Band from UW-Eau Claire. Each band brought its own brand of style and energy to today's event, and the audience was treated to a wide vareity of music and visual excitement.

A big thank you goes out to the large number of West Band Parents, Alumni, and Alumni Parents who all pitched in to make today's event a great success. Approximately 80 volunteers are needed to manage the many logistical demands of an event this size, and everyone worked together like a finely tuned instrument.

With the 11th annual Fox River Invitational behind us, the Cadets of Waukesha West now set their sights on our next football halftime performance and our trip "Up North" this coming weekend October 6 & 7. Details on all upcoming performances will be posted soon.....
