Cadets Give Strong Performance at North's "Bandfest"
September 23, 2007
In what could only be described as a beautiful Wisconsin September Sunday, the Cadets of Waukesha West gave a strong performance at Waukesha North's first annual "Bandfest."
After a "slightly late" departure from West (the Cadet's Staff was determined to get in that final "run through...."), the Cadets arrived at North High School with just enough time to warm up, line up, and take the field in the season's first exhibition performance in front of a marching band audience and a panel of WSMA adjudicators.
The event at Waukesha North was specifically designed to give both competitive and non-competitive bands an opportunity to present their shows to an enthusiastic audience and a panel of adjudicators who provided taped and written comments designed to help each band improve their performance. Scores and rankings were not part of the process today.
The Cadets will continue in their quest for excellence in performance on Saturday September 29 at Waukesha South's "Marchfest." Saturday's upcoming performance at South will mark the Cadet's first competitive performance of the season.
See you there!
