Wind Ensemble to Perform at NBA State Convention
January 01, 2007

The Waukesha West Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the National Band Association (NBA) Wisconsin State Band Convention in Wisconsin Rapids on Friday January 19.

Bands are invited to perform at this prestigious event by audition, and the invitation to perform at a state music convention is one of the benchmarks of a great high school music program. The West Wind Ensemble has performed at the NBA State Band Convention and the WSMA State Music Conventions in 2004, 2002, 2000, and 1999.

The convention will be attended by Wisconsin band directors who teach at all levels, and will include middle school, high school, and university directors.

Convention clinics and seminars are open to band directors and college students who register for the convention, but all convention performances are free and open to the public.

The 9 PM performance by the West Wind Ensemble will be the last of three band concerts presented at the Hotel Mead on January 19.

We have an outstanding program prepared for this performance, and we hope to see as many Waukesha West families in the audience as possible. Arrive early if you're planning to attend - this will be a full house!
