REALLY Proud Senior Mom


To our awesome Cadets:
I wish I could gather you all up in my arms and give you a big hug! Your performance last night at state was incredible!! You should all be so proud of what you've accomplished, both on and off the field. After watching all the performances and conversing with parents from a number of other bands, I realized just how fortunate we are to be Cadet parents. You must know that you have the best directors and staff in the state. Their focus is on teaching you to become winners, not just in marching band, but also in life. You've learned to believe in yourselves, to always do your best and hold your head high...but most importantly, to display good sportsmanship and to respect your fellow students no matter what band they are in. You are truly a class act paralleled by none! Celebrate! In the eyes of your supporters you are #1 !!!

Cadets,
Congratulations on an outstanding season!! It was so much fun to watch both you and the show grow and evolve every week. Each performance was better than the next! Mr. Duffy was right, you truly did “shine” at State and we couldn’t be more proud of you! You absolutely blew the crowd away….it was amazing!!
Good programs start with good leaders. Thank you dedicated directors and support staff, as this program would be nothing without you, your dedication and your vision.
Another great year Cadets! You are truly a class act and 10,000 witnessed that first hand yesterday at State! Congratulations!!!!

Hello Cadets!

I wish you best of luck at your state competition this Saturday. It is amazing that for 11 years I have been listening to this group of people perform, and I am more than amazed at your talents and devotion. Your dedication and appreciation for the Cadets definitely makes an impact on any one in the audience who listens. Your hard work has made a difference, showing sportsmanship and care. Although I wish I could be there in person, I cannot wait to hear your performance over the phone. Good luck, and remember, HAVE FUN!! :)

Well Cadets this is it, the big day you’ve worked so hard for has finally arrived. Embrace it! Soak it all in. Enjoy every step, every note, making each one better than the next. Tight, crisp, sharp! Remember those who’ve walked this walk before you and the legacy they’ve left behind for you to embrace. Stand tall, heads high and filled with pride as you enter the field; you are the Cadets of Waukesha West- Pride of the West Side!! We couldn’t be more proud of you and what you’ve accomplished this season. Your dedication, team work and talent amaze us who watch in awe….
Remember you have a job to do and you’re more than ready to execute a show that’s been tailor made for you. Do your job and stay focused on the task at hand without letting interruptions get in the way. The field is vast, the press box seems miles away…take note of all that when you enter the stadium and you’ll do fine. Watch the drum majors! Drum majors watch each other! Color guard SELL IT to the crowd then watch the fun unfold as the crowd goes wild!! We love our Cadets!!
This has been an amazing journey for my family these last 8 years; life changing in fact. To merely say thank you to the directors seems rather empty in comparison to all the blood sweat and tears they’ve invested into making this program what it is. Leading our kids by example, teaching them the true meaning of “team work” all while instilling in them the love and passion of making beautiful music… what could be better than that? We are so lucky to have truly great leaders- thank you!
Seniors- wow! What a show and what a season to wrap this all up for you! Make today a memory you’ll never forget, a memory that will warm your heart and bring a tear to your eye for years to come.
Go Cadets! Have fun out there and remember how proud we are to call ourselves your fans!
